In 2022, Leviton announced its climate change goal to achieve company-wide carbon neutrality by 2030 and its ambition to achieve Net-Zero Carbon by 2050.

We are proud to announce that JCC Lighting has become a carbon-neutral organization, 7 years ahead of the 2030 target. This significant milestone takes Leviton’s commitment to becoming a carbon neutral group another step forward.

Our carbon neutral journey has involved a multi-faceted approach that encompasses various key areas.

Renewable Energy Adoption: Since moving to our 86,000+ sq ft facility Lux Park, JCC Lighting has transitioned its electrical energy sources to predominantly solar power. Our roof is adorned with 1,300 solar panels, significantly reducing our carbon emissions. In addition to this, our fleet of cars has been replaced with hybrid vehicles along with the installation of EV charge points at our head office.

Product Development: We have continued to drive improvements across our product lines with a focus on energy efficiency and ease of installation. By designing and manufacturing products that are environmentally responsible we empower our customers to make sustainable choices without compromising on quality.

Carbon Offsetting: Recognizing that some emissions are unavoidable, we have invested in a carbon offset project. The first project we have chosen to support is solar electricity production in the Indian Rajasthan state. Both the lighting and solar industries have been at the forefront of Innovation for the last 15 years, reducing millions of tonnes of carbon for people across the world. By offsetting residual carbon emissions, we can ensure our net impact on the environment remains neutral.
